		<description>I think you have it just right for the journalism part of the problem. 

It&#039;s consistent with the evolving discussion at Niemann and at PBS Media Shift. The notion of curating the news is most developed at newsless.org among many other places. Another interesting metaphor emerged in Iowa &#039;Conducting the information orchestra.&quot; Similar idea, but has value in pointing to the time constrained nature of the process.

But what is missing, in my opinion, is an appreciation of the role of print both for a sustainable business model and as a tool for education both in formal educational organizations and the public discourse.

Print is the medium to learn logical thinking. TV is a conversational medium. McCluhan had it pretty right. The web is a mash up. For those with many hours of practice the web can be a tool for thinking and research. But for the overwhelming majority it is conversation. 

The previously impossible experience of web+print is to fix authentic conversations so they can be used in the service of teaching logical thinking.

From a biz model perspective, the reality is that only TV and Print are mass media. As the smoke - in the form of defocused and overleveraged organizations - clears, print and internet TV will define the communication ecology going forward.

I think that if your model connects to an automated print publishing piece, it could get traction to both improve education and de-pollute the public discourse.</description>
